Hiii Friends!

In the interest of harmony, we've created a park friends community organization to help facilitate deep connections between neighbors and nature, create a sense of pride and ownership in the neighborhood, and promote positive lasting relationships between neighbors. To accomplish our mission, we've established:

Food Forest & Garden Groundskeeping Team

Fernhill Food Forest is home to more than a dozen fruit trees, dozens of fruit bushes, a variety of vegetables, herbs, spices, medicinal plants and growing! Our team of dedicated volunteers tend to the forest family style, with work parties featuring music and refreshments. Our vision is to serve as a multi-faceted community learning center and gathering space to explore and steward healthy relationships with each other, and environment through growing fresh, healthy, free food. 

 

 

 

Community Communications Team

We hope to connect more deeply with our surrounding community, beginning with our neighbors on Manhiem St- Roberts Avenue and Wissahickon- Pulaski Avenues. Our team will be regularly surveying for interest and satisfaction. We look forward to hearing from you!

Special Events Team

We play as hard as we work! With your help, we will host quarterly community festivals with activities and amenities designed with every stage of life in mind. Donate time, talent or money today!

Clubs & Activities Team

We see clubs & groups as an essential component of a thriving community. We value developing friendships over common interests and encourage residents to participate in clubs and groups or start their own, with our support of course! Current clubs/groups:

Book Club: Monthly meeting to explore various topics. Online and in-person opportunities. Complete the survey and let your voice be heard.

We Walk: Join us for our 2023 season opening walk May 1st at 6PM. Walks will take place every Sunday (Led by Barbara A + Thakiyah) 9am & Mondays (Led by April + Barbara M).
