Welcome to Fernhill Park –
A Legacy of Green
Welcome to Fernhill Park, a 50-acre sanctuary where Nature’s history is on display. Ferns, an ancient group of plants that have graced our planet since the beginning of life, are among the oldest and most diverse plant families, symbolizing resilience and growth through the ages.

We celebrate Fern Nation and recognize it as the perfect symbol of ecosystem harmony—a thriving community of over 10,000 species, each unique and adaptable to diverse environments. Ferns are pioneers of life in new environments, support biodiversity, and maintain the delicate balance of nature. Their presence here in Fernhill Park reminds us of the interconnectedness and resilience of both our community and the natural world.

Spanning 50 acres, Fernhill Park offers a variety of activities for all ages, including walking trails, athletic fields and courts, a Forest Garden Farm, playgrounds and more. Whether you’re exploring the trails, playing sports, or tending to the garden, there’s something for everyone.

The park is stewarded by the Friends of Fernhill Park, a community volunteer, non-profit organization with over 30 years of dedication to preserving and enhancing the natural beauty of the park. The group also provides recreational and educational opportunities for our surrounding neighborhood. With the support of dedicated volunteers, we ensure that this vibrant space remains a welcoming and accessible place for all to enjoy.

Open community meetings take place the first Tuesday of every month. March's meeting will take place virtually, Tuesday March 4th, 7-8:30pm. Please use the zoom link below!
